Vehicle Verification & Measurements

We maintain a database of measurements for most truck makes and models. Depending on your specific truck — make, model, bed length, and year/generation — we may already have what we need on file. If we don't, we'll ask you to take a few quick measurements yourself. This guide covers what to measure and how, for both camper platforms.

Why this matters: Every camper is custom-fitted to your exact truck bed. If your truck isn't already in our database, we'll need you to provide them to ensure proper fitment.
How precise do these need to be? They don't need to be exact down to the millimeter — but they do need to be relatively accurate. Small errors can mean the difference between a camper that seats properly on the bulkhead, bed rails, and tailgate, and clears the top of your cab, versus one that doesn't. When in doubt, measure twice and round to the nearest 1/4".

Frontier & Summit Measurement Guide

Please refer to the measurement guide below. The required dimensions are:

Frontier and Summit camper measurement guide diagram
  • A Interior bed length from the top edge of the front bulkhead to the top edge of the tailgate
  • B Interior width between the bed rails at the front (cab side)
  • C Interior width between the bed rails at the rear (tailgate side)
  • D Width of the front bed rail
  • E Width of the bulkhead (measure the narrowest point if it tapers)
  • F Width of the tailgate at its narrowest point (typically near the bed sides on contoured tailgates)
  • G Height from the top of the bulkhead to the highest point on the cab (including antennas; we recommend removing screw-in antennas for accuracy)

Applies to both the Frontier and Summit platforms, which share the same bed-mounted fitment.

Apex Measurement Guide

Please refer to the measurement guide image below. The required dimensions are:

Apex camper measurement guide diagram
  • A Height from bulkhead to the top of the cab (including antennas or anything on the roof)
  • B Length between the wheel well and closed tailgate
  • C Inner bed length from bulkhead to closed tailgate
  • D Height of the bed floor to the top of the bed rails
  • E Edge-to-edge outside width between the bed rails
  • F Width between the wheel wells
  • G Bed width at the tailgate opening
