400W Solar Panel
One panel, one set of connections, done.
A single 400W flush-mount monocrystalline panel bonded directly to the aluminum roof. No drilling, so the roof seal stays intact and there is nothing new to reseal every season. The panel sits low enough that it does not add meaningful height or catch wind on the highway.
One large panel is the simplest way to get 400 watts up there. Fewest connections, fewest failure points, and one lead pair to run into your build instead of two. OEM grade cells at 22 to 23 percent conversion put down roughly 1600 to 2000 Wh a day in good sun, which covers a fridge, lights, and device charging without much thought.
The trade is roof real estate. At 79 by 39 inches the panel takes up most of the available space, so if you want a 14 by 14 inch MaxxAir fan on a Summit, look at the 500W package instead. It splits the same job across two smaller panels and leaves the opening free.
What we do
- Flush mount the panel to the aluminum roof with no drilling
- Route the leads into the camper through a junction box
What you do
- Pick up the leads inside the camper and run them into your own charge controller and battery
